B12 functions
B12 is the foundation of your red and white blood cells. Hence a lot of people suffer with fatigue if they’re lacking in red blood cells, ultimately can cause anaemia.
It is vital for brain function, so can cause neurological issues.
B12 also makes Myelin (outer covering of your nervous system) which allows conductivity of nerve impulses to travel, so if there is an issue with Myelin you can experience pain and nerve problems.
Creator of DNA.
Cyanocobalamin is the synthetic form of B12 and generally given in high potencies as the body needs to go through four steps in order to absorb it. It also splits off into the toxin Cyanide.
The natural version however is called methylcobalamin bonds to protein (needs stomach acid to break it down). You also need the intrinsic factor (a protein made by your stomach lining).
